Applicants for participation in Bright Green Youth in August 2009 in Denmark must meet the following requirements:
1. About you
• You are 14-18 years old (during the BGY camp).
• You understand and can express yourself in English.
• You have a profile on www.brightgreenyouth.org.
2. Your contribution
• In connection with your profile you have created an innovative idea that somehow can improve the climate conditions in the world and/or you have given a description of a climate problem based on your own experience with climate changes in your everyday life.
• You can contribute with an idea within the categories CLIMATE, INNOVATION, and/or LEADERSHIP and you might get inspired by the questions included in each category:
CLIMATE - How do you personally experience climate changes in your daily life? / What do you consider the biggest challenge in dealing with the climate changes?
INNOVATION - Describe new ways to reduce CO2 emissions / Think of new energy-efficient products / How can energy be used in an innovative and sustainable way?
LEADERSHIP - How can you make your surroundings do something actively about the climate changes? / How can you make your ideas be heard in a broader perspective?
• Your contribution can be testimonials, thoughts, and descriptions expressed in a photo, a video, a poem, a report, a Powerpoint presentation, etc., etc. You decide as long as you can fit it in your profile on www.brightgreenyouth.org.
3. Becoming a winner
• Your contribution must be picked out as one of the 500 winners (getting admission to the BGY camp).
• The winners will be found in three ways:
1. Through locally arranged contests in different countries around the world (with reference to BGY’s website).
2. Through various contests at www.brightgreenyouth.org (a panel of judges will point out the winners).
3. Through a certain number of wildcards that will be handed out at the end of the selection process (for instance this could be some of the best rated ideas at www.brightgreenyouth.org or some of the moving descriptions illustrated by a great video, photo, or report).
Deadline
• Deadline for handing in your contribution is June the 1st 2009 (unless you participate through a local/national contest that might have an earlier deadline).

• You can be from 1-3 persons creating an idea at www.brightgreenyouth.org.
• You must have a login to YouTube if you want to put a video on your profile since the videos at BGY’s website will be uploaded through YouTube.
