Ellen Trane Nørby, Member of the Danish Parliament (V)
Long before Denmark hosts the United Nation’s Climate Change Conference, COP15 in December 2009, young people from all over the world will be thinking about the environment, technology, energy, responsibility and awareness at the Climate Change Conference for Youth in August. The initiative - called Bright Green Youth – is organized by Danfoss Universe and will take place in Sønderborg with forests, fields and seaside as background settings. Our goal is to ensure that the debate about the environment and climate is a down to earth rather than seemingly distant, confusing and theoretical. Bright Green Youth focuses on how all young people can make a difference and how change must start with each and every one of us. I have no doubt that Bright Green Youth will create a new generation of global young people, who will take responsibility for the planet and deliver concrete suggestions and demands to the government leaders of the world, who must make decisions in December that will have great impact upon the future climate of this planet. This is why I support Bright Green Youth.
