Spectacular goodbye to BGY

How often do you see a lead singer perform from a 23 metre high building?

Well, the Bright Green Youth participants did Tuesday night during the closing ceremony at Danfoss Universe science park when the Danish band Turboweekend ended the four day long camp with a concert from the roof of The Blue Cube in the science park.

Before the concert four of the brightest ideas from the 500 youths at the camp had been presented to an expert panel.

”Bright Green Youth has shown us that we have a lot of bright, innovative and energetic kids around the world. BGY is about climate, but is also about leadership. With this camp we hace created a large group of global ambassadors with a very important message to the world. This fact makes it even more important to help them get their great ideas through to the public,” said Charlotte Sahl-Madsen, chairman of the committee behing Bright Green Youth.

In 1931 Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, said:

“I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that?”
